/var/db/pkg以下が壊れてしまった場合、作りなおすにはどうしたらいいのでしょうか？

プログラムをportsからインストールしようとすると、

Stop in /usr/local/ports/mail/sylpheed.

のように、インストールの途中でエラーで終わってしまうんです。
これはsylpheedに限らず全てのportsで起こっていますから、
pkgdbが壊れたのではと思っています。
