そのURI先にある，Packages - Ubuntu 7.10 の5つのdebファイル
cdemu-client-1.0.0.deb
cdemu-daemon-1.0.0.deb
gcdemu-1.0.0.deb
libmirage-1.0.0.deb
vhba-module-1.0.0.deb
をインストールはしました．
/etc/init.d/cdemu-daemon
では上記エラーが出るので，/etc/rc.local に
/sbin/modprobe vhba
cdemud --system-bus -n 2 &
を追記して再起動後再度
/etc/init.d/cdemu-daemon
を試しましたが結果は同様でした．イメージファイルのあるフォルダで
cdemu load 0 CDImage.cue
としてもエラーが出ます．
